Rule of Thirds

"Mr. Bloomberg -- who persuaded the City Council to amend a law that would have restricted him to two terms and then spent some $90 million of his personal fortune on his campaign -- decisively defeated Comptroller William C. Thompson Jr., his Democratic rival." --New York Times

Summer Streets!

Today was this year's second of three NYC Summer Streets. The car-free route runs from the Brooklyn Bridge to Central Park; you can walk, run, cycle, skate or bark. Next Saturday, August the 22nd, will be the last of the year.

There's lots of free stuff along the route, including bike decorating, bike repairs, street workouts, water, coffee and cheese. There's even free bike hire.

A "uniquely entertaining and amusing marketplace in Coney Island"

Thor Equities is invigorated by the pulse and vibrancy of major urban environments. We match this tenacity by pairing the right properties and the right investors to maximize results with solid planning and execution.” – Joseph J. Sitt, Chairman and CEO

On Monday we visited the "grand opening" of the Festival by the Sea, billed as a "uniquely entertaining and amusing marketplace in Coney Island." Goodbye, rides and go-kart track and batting cages! Hello, mobile phones and laminated photocopies! Elegant grace note: the bin liners flapping from the roof skeleton. Imagine an undersubscribed car-boot sale held on the surface of the moon. Viva Coney!
