One of the things I like about the Brooklyn Heights Promenade are the
overhead views of the roads. Furman Street is the bottom layer of
infrastructure, under the BQE.
During a visit to Buffalo this weekend, I got to see the Bulls take down the Zips 21-17. This was my first time at a real American Football game and I was impressed by the sheer number of people involved in each team. The dry ice clouds as the team burst out the tunnel was a nice touch.

During a walk around Coney Island Creek last night looking for semi-submerged subjects,
the sun burst under a cloud and caught me traipsing through the undergrowth.
"Get Into the Swing of Fall" takes place on Governors Island on Thursday October 8th. Water Taxi Beach will be the venue for a swing party featuring the Stumblebum Brass Band. This will be the last chance to visit the island at night until next year.

Sustainable Flatbush and Flatbush Gardener joined forces to transform a parking space into a temporary garden on the corner of Cortelyou Road and Argyle Road. "I had to get out here at 2 a.m. to grab the space, then come back at 7 a.m. to build the garden," Chris Kreussling of Flatbush Gardener told me. "We even have wi-fi access thanks to the Brooklyn Library." From what I saw, the biggest hit with the younger visitors was the real grass.
